Okay, technically its now Monday the 22nd but I have recently
been granted the powers to alter time so just deal with it!
Gordon Molek has opened the flood gates and released three
new mods complete with full Mod Manager support files as well as his own
batch files to select options. All three
mods are located on this page.
We also have a new JgPz IV mod from a newcomer in the mod
world. Check it out right HERE.
I got word from the author of the Jager Sky mod (sorry dude,
your nick name is too damn long to repeat!) he has updated his pack with
a new batch file which will help people select the sky they want installed.
This updated file can be grabbed right HERE.
Our last feature tonight is a new Article from my friend
Pillar. He is a long time Chat Room member (as well as a sycophant wanna
be) and pretty much a royal pain in my ass but I promised him I would
post this and I try and keep my word. So have a look at what young Adam
has written and give him all the feedback you can, he asked for it! You
can read his newest Article right through HERE.
Speaking of keeping my word, I promissed to post a mod from
Kitty about 3 months ago and in what can only be described in a "Home
Alone-sque" series of misadventures, including just plain forgetting,
I never did post it. Well better later than never, so have a look at it.
Its really pretty cute and available in the Untested
Mods Section.

Trying to catch up on mods and files and
it's rather fitting that two of tonight's mods have new roadwheel and
track textures when I am struggling to get CMHQ back on track myself.
The first mod tonight is a set of all new
replacement sky textures. Some nice work in there are even include a choice
of night and cloud styles. Have a look right
here.
The next mod is an Addon for Fernando
J. Carrera Buil's
great SdKfz 251 halftrack mods. All new roadwheel and track textures.
Definitely worth the download and
can be found here.
Tiger
has also joined the new "Revised Tread and Track" movement and
has updated his earlier Zimmerit coated Mark IVE. This
updated mod can is located here.
New
to the Untested Mods list tonight
is another pack of Unit Profile Pictures. I checked them out briefly and
this pack adds another two dozen or so unit pictures and are of very high
quality, from Sinpoet. Download
it HERE.
Rounding
out tonight's update is another un-Moded POTD
which can be seen full screen HERE.

Things were getting way too stale around
here so I set aside about 4 hours tonight and did a little pre-emptive
Spring Cleaning. So what's on the agenda for tonight?
First off we have some new Stuart Add-ons
and Low Res version Mods. This whole pack is just marvelous and now those
without high end video cards can see what all the fuss is about. The new
Add-ons allow you greater freedom with choosing what nationalities you
want to use. These updated packs are
available in the Allied Tanks Section.
In order to keep things even around here
I also have an exception new Hummel and Nashorn mod pack. This stunning
collection includes mono, bi, tri-color and snow versions!
They are a sight to see and can be found in the German Support Vehicle
Section. UPDATE: Zip
files Fixed!
The Wespe and Marder III mod has been updated
with a fixed road wheel configuration and was moved from the Untested
Area into the main German Support
Vehicle Section.
The Hi-Res Battered Panther A mod
has also been moved into it's permanent home in the German
Tank Page.
The last move from the Untested Area is the
wonderful Hi-Res Pioneer wooden Bridge. This
beauty is waiting for you in the Terrain and Buildings Mod Page.
A new addition into the
Untested Mod list is set of stunning new complete Uniform Pack
from DD. They are only listed as 'Untested' due to lack of time.
You WILL want these now! They are incredible and even more so (well,
I did advise him on them again) by the fact that they are the stock texture
size. That's right, they are normal size so any system can run them
but they will knock your socks off!
You can download the whole works right HERE.
Our last treat is a nice article which covers
the progress Combat Mission has made since its release all those months
ago. A very interesting read
and can be found in the Articles Section.
Tonight's POTD
again highlights Combat Mission sans Mods.
Have a looky HERE!
Lots more goodies on their way, there is
only so much time you know...

Hard to believe its the New Year already.
Seems many of the mod artist took their time off to hones their skills
and I am now once again buried in new mods. With the forthcoming
v1.1 patch needing my constant attention I apologize if updates are a
little infrequent but I will try and get stuff posted as an
Untested Mod when I can.
And speaking of that, we have four new entries
in there this evening. I would highly recommend DD's Add-On Terrain
Pack and the Marder/Wespe mods. Both are very nice.
I have some other new mods which will be
posted shortly including some new low-res version and enhanced option
versions of the very popular Stuart mod. Keep on the watch for those.
While we are on the topic of Mods I wanted
to bring attention to tonight's POTD.
While it's safe to say that mods have risen Combat Mission to a new level
of graphical brilliance we all too often forget how nice the game looked
freshly installed. For that reason I wanted to hearken back to those
glory days when mods were unheard of and the game still shone as brightly
as now. Therefore, over the next few updates, I will be posting
some pictures that show NO mods in them at all. Click
HERE to see tonight's POTD in all it's unmoded spender.
