Orders – Turn 8

 Two of the four tanks are moving forward to better positions.  Victor-2 on the left to help out with the left flank and Victor-3 on the right to take care of that HMG behind the objective (which as you can see in the picture below, is now under American control).  One of my two mortar teams is going to come left to better support Dog Platoon’s eventual attack.  (You may recall that they are going to attack as soon as that AT gun is out of action.)  I don’t want anyone other than my FO to come into the LOS of that gun though so this will not be the mortar team’s final position.

Units on the left and right are advancing while ones in the middle sit tight.

Action – Turn 8

 The enemy is falling back.  It looks like they are still under control but they still were paying a heavy price as they retreated.  The HMG 42 team in front of Fox Platoon has been eliminated.  The infantry squads on my left had to retreat under withering tank HE and MG fire. A new machine-gun team that showed up in the primary objective building apparently caused our two casualties this turn.   

This squad is retreating under fire from 3 tanks, 2 machine-guns, a squad and a HQ section.  Not sure if I caused any casualties but he certainly incurred a lot of combat stress.

Another squad has panicked and hit the deck out in the open.  Unfortunately for him, he’s right in the sights of Victor-2.

A new threat that Dog platoon discovered.

Fox and Dog platoons have completed their repositioning moves but I tell both of them not to get too comfortable, as they will be moving again very soon.
