Orders
– Turn 2
Some fine tuning of the deployments
while we wait for the slowpokes of Fox platoon to catch up.
Charlie and Dog will make a short advance through the woods, albeit
at a slower walking pace versus their initial run. Baker platoon will be
just behind one crest in the middle.
I also need to get Lt. Booth’s HW teams off of the tanks.
Sgt. Palmer’s Victor-2 has picked up the mortar team and can
catch up with the rest of the tanks in a couple of minutes.
<
The troops on the right have a little further to go.

CONTACT!
Looks like Jerry isn’t going to give up this town without a
fight. Baker’s boys started
drawing some indirect fire (81 mm mortar I think) in our center.
I don’t think it was aimed at them, just pre-targeted on the
woods they were getting ready to enter.
Unfortunately, they got a few on of the guys with their long
misses.

This treeburst eliminated one man from Dieterich’s squad and another
man in the other squad in the woods.
A
machine gun has opened up the leftmost squad of Baker Platoon (doing no
damage). Now he’s paying for that mistake.
One of my tanks spotted him and now he’s hunkered down in the
two-story objective on our right. Our
tanks may make a lot of noise so surprise is impossible but I’m glad to
have them. They are wonderful
for keeping the enemy’s head down.

Victor-3 and a Baker squad suppress a Machine-Gun.
