American Turn 13 Battle Report

Orders Phase:

This is it the beginning of my last chance to salvage something out of this.

I order the infantry to run across the river, through one building and into the main objective. I am still hoping that Fionn’s infantry has crossed the river hunting my Hellcats. This would facilitate my getting to the objective.

Then I order Sergeant Berry to open up. Sergeant Rost I order to open up and halt his Hellcat. I also tell Rost to rotate so that he is facing the Tiger. Then I order Sergeant Lynch to reverse into his initial firing position.

After a little contemplation, I decide that I need to make Sergeant Berry’s Hellcat more active. I order him to move fast behind the smoke and then to hunt into some scattered trees on the right of the road.

Action Phase:

Sergeant Lynch hits the Tiger’s gun as he is reversing  into the depression.

The infantry reach the river and see a platoon HQ and 3 members of an SS motorized squad in buildings on the other side. If that’s all that’s in the area, this should work fine, if not – uh oh!!
